MIAMI, November 17, 2005 - Royal Caribbean International has revised Jewel of the Seas' 2006 itinerary to include a series of seven-night Canada/New England sailings roundtrip from Boston, Massachusetts. The 2,100-guest Jewel of the Seas, previously scheduled to sail 10-night Bermuda/Caribbean itineraries, will be the only Royal Caribbean ship offering Canada/New England itineraries in the fall of 2006.
"Our guests' response to our Canada/New England itineraries last year was tremendous," said Adam Goldstein, president of Royal Caribbean International. "We felt it was important to offer our guests the opportunity to see the beauty of this area while at the same time enjoying the wonderful amenities and service onboard Jewel."
Following a 12-night transatlantic cruise departing from Harwich, England, on September 11, 2006, Jewel of the Seas will sail roundtrip from Boston, with calls to Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
On October 31, 2006, Jewel will sail her scheduled 12-night repositioning cruise from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where she will embark on a series of eight- and six-night Eastern/Western Caribbean itineraries.
With nearly three acres of exterior glass, Jewel offers an ideal way to view fall foliage along the New England and Canadian coastline. Jewel also sparkles with ocean-facing glass elevators and floor-to-ceiling windows in most public areas, and has the highest percentage of balcony staterooms in Royal Caribbean's fleet. Throughout the ship, guests will discover the ship also shines in its entertainment, dining, activities and art offerings.
Guests who have been affected by the change in itineraries should contact their travel agent.
