Carnival Corp. announced Wednesday that it will implement a fuel supplement of $5 per person per day across its various cruise brands, including Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and The Yachts of Seabourn. Carnival said the fuel supplement, which only applies to the first and second guest in a stateroom and will not exceed $70 per person per voyage, is effective on all bookings for voyages departing on or after Feb. 1, 2008. The company said the move was caused by the continued rapid escalation of fuel prices.

This Halloween, guests can enjoy costume contests, Halloween-themed giveaways, scary movies, and, of course, trick or treating, with candies and other goodies from M&M’S®. The “Frightfully Fun” promotion will be on all Carnival voyages departing from Oct. 13 through 30, 2007. Crew members will be in costume and guests can have their photos taken with Carnival’s own “Fun Ship” Freddy. Guests ages one to 14 are invited to go trick or treating through various public rooms…stocking up on M&M’S® signature candies.

Carnival will unveil an adults-only area called "Serenity" when its ship, the Inspiration, emerges from a month-long dry dock in early October. It will be the first Carnival ship to feature the new area, which the line said would be located in a secluded aft area of the ship, and would feature plush chaise lounges and chairs, oversized umbrellas and two whirlpools. The Serenity areas are part of Carnival's $250 million "Evolutions of Fun" ship enhancement initiative of the line's eight Fantasy-class vessels.
