Discover the beauty and majesty of the Canadian Rockies. Drive west to Lake Louise, the "Jewel of the Rockies." This stunning lake is situated in a small glacial valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Enjoy a hike on one of the many trails and visit nearby Moraine Lake with its awe-inspiring deep teal color. Drive along the stunning Icefields Parkway. Along the way, stop at the Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield south of Alaska. While here, take a breathtaking Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier or join a guided glacier walk. Continue north and see beautiful Athabasca Falls, one of the most powerful falls in the Rockies. In Jasper National Park you will have plenty of time to explore on your own. Enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities, including hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking. Don't miss Maligne Lake, the second-largest glacier-fed lake in the world, and take a cruise across the lake to Spirit Island. Retrace your steps along the spectacular Icefields Parkway and stop at any of the gorgeous sites you might have missed on your prior journey. Then, on to Banff, "Canada's Highest Town." Explore the rugged alpine beauty of Banff National Park, Canada's first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain for spectacular mountain views. Enjoy scenic Tunnel Mountain Drive with views of the Bow Valley, Bow Falls, and rock formations called "hoodoos." In the evening, visit the bustling main street or take a relaxing walk along the Bow River.
